Get Links Fast: 10 Ways

March 4th, 2009 by Daniel Z. Kane

Even newbie webmasters know that the more links they can get to their websites, the higher their search engine rankings are likely to be. What they may not realize is how many different ways there are to obtain those links.

Here are the top 10.

1. Submit your website to directories. Some require a fee, but most do not.

2. Submit your site to online classified ad pages. Most are either free or very inexpensive.

3. Initiate link swaps with other website owners. Seek out those whose sites are on subjects related to yours, but avoid contacting competitors.

4. Try podcasting. I know a few folks who have had great success with it.

5. Submit videos to video sites.

6. Register at social bookmarking and other social sites.

7. Utilize press releases. Several services are available to assist you, some at no cost.

8. Become a blogger. Write at least two articles a month, and link from your blog to your website. This is a “must” activity. If you’re not blogging you’re not trying.

9. Write articles and send them to article distribution sites. Include an author’s box with a link to your website.

10. Post on forums and comment on blog sites. Caution; do not spam.

Of course, you do not have to engage in all of the activities above. Just pick a few and be persistent; if you do, you will be rewarded.

How to get real traffic to your website

March 1st, 2009 by Damian Papworth

The following is a S.E.O plan for getting real targeted and high volume search engine traffic. Certain steps may not be applicable to you, but the order is important.

Depending on your website, you may want to start from scratch again if you are in a competitive area or niche.

Study the keywords very carefully and know them inside out. Find out where the traffic is and target your main keywords carefully.

Avoid starting with a brand new domain name, or one recently registered. Try to buy a old used domain name that had some page rank and links.

When buying an aged domain always check that the domain has not been banned in Google, Yahoo or msn. Ideally get an aged domain with Google page rank or some relevant links.

Once you have a domain and have studied your keywords, try to name your pages similar to you main target keywords. You best tactic is to target one keyword for each page.

For each page you only need to focus on the title and quality of content for S.E.O.

The more keywords you select and the more pages you have, the better off you will be. Your best tactic is to target as many keywords as you can.

You will need some real quality content pages for you site, but regularly add as many pages as you can frequently. You should have lots of intelligent interlinking between pages.

The single most important factor to your S.E.O campaign is the number of quality back links you can get back to your website. Also get links to your internal pages.

Build your links slowly and carefully over a period of time, getting the keywords anchor text in your links is all important and will make or break your campaign.

A good variety of the anchor text you use, as well as mixing it with you keywords will make it look natural and organic.

Get links form sites related closely to yours as possible, even if partly related it will be valued more by search engines.

If the site you get the link from is not in the same niche as yours, if the page is relevant it will still be give more value to your back link.

Get your links from many different sites, not ones owned by one person or a network of sites. The sites you get your links from should be from on different I.P address, DNS servers or locations.

The best advice for anyone wanting traffic is to follow the above steps or even better pay an expert to do it for you.
