Okay before we get started talking about analyzing keywords lets define some terms well be using. For keywords you have your broadest terms (known as Markets), these can be broken down into smaller more targeted groups called a niche, these can be broken down even further into a micro niche.
As a rule, you generally want to search for the subcategory “niche keywords” or “micro niche keywords” because their is far less competition then with “market keywords,” making it much easier to rank on google. For instance, to rank for Network Marketing tips (101,000 sites listed) is way easier then ranking for Network Marketing (11,800,000 sites listed).
Finding these “niche” and “micro niche” keywords is easy. Just go to the google keyword tool and drill down from your “market” keywords. Type these keywords into the tool and “get keyword ideas.” After sorting by approximate search volume narrow these words down to the ones with between 10,000 and 1,000 searches.
Once you have broken down these results, you want to begin typing them into google search. Keywords with less than 50,000 competitve sites listed (150,000 with advanced SEO skills) are the keywords you want to use to build your web pages and build your content. Strategically disperse these keywords throughout your content to rank high on google.
