2009 and a Refreshed Perspective

December 30th, 2008 by Damian Papworth

I’ve never been into New Year’s resolutions much.  However, I do get to year and and feel a little contemplative.  I like to reflect on the year just past and consider whether it panned out as planned, and whether there were things I could have done it better.  This gives me a perspective of the important things for the new year and a subconcious plan of my priorities for the new year.

As a new father in 2008, my perception of “important” today is vastly different to that 12 months ago.  This year important is simple, it means

  • A healthy family
  • A happy family
  • Set a good example for my daughter

This keeps it simple, and recognising the important things are simple sure takes the pressure off when all we read about is the doom and gloom of the global financial situation.
